For more than 20 years, I-care has pursued one unwavering goal: zero accidents. This commitment goes far beyond internal performance—it defines how the company helps its customers operate more safely. Recently, this dedication was recognized when ADM, one of I-care’s key partners, honored the company with its prestigious Safety Award.
In this exclusive interview, Fabrice Brion, CEO of I-care Group, shares how I-care’s focus on safety has shaped its culture, its customer relationships, and its performance over the past two decades.
What is I-care’s top priority, and how is it embedded across the company?
“One of the main targets of I-care, as it has been for the past 20 years, is to drive the company to zero accidents. Above revenue growth, above customer satisfaction, the top priority, communicated every year, is safety,” explains Fabrice Brion.
While many companies focus mainly on revenue, Fabrice reminds us that at I-care, safety isn’t just a box to tick; it is the foundation of our culture and performance. Putting people’s well-being at the heart of its mission, the company has built systems and practices that ripple outward, enhancing safety and performance across customer sites.
What role does safety play in I-care’s mission to “change the way the world performs”?
This philosophy naturally ties into I-care’s broader mission. As Fabrice points out: “At I-care, our mission is to change the way the world performs. And how do we do that? By changing the way our customers perform maintenance. This has a huge impact on the safety of our customer sites, driving them to zero-accident plants.”
In other words, predictive maintenance is not just about efficiency; it’s about creating safer workplaces.
Why is winning the ADM Safety Award so significant for I-care?
This long-term commitment to safety has not gone unnoticed. ADM, one of I-care’s most important customers, recognized the company by honoring it with its prestigious Safety Award.
“Winning the Safety Award from ADM is very important for I-care for three reasons. (…) First, the award itself represents performance, serving as a recognition and aligning perfectly with our core values. Second, ADM is not just any organization; it is one of our customers. As a customer-centric company, we are always looking at what our customers are asking for and aim to deliver above expectations. Recognition from a customer is more important than any third-party distinction. The last point is safety. Among all the customer awards we may have won, safety is the most impactful because safety is really the DNA of I-care. Safety for ourselves because we want to operate safely, (…) but also the impact we can have on the safety of our customers.”
For Fabrice, this recognition acts as a triple validation: it celebrates performance, strengthens customer trust, and underscores safety as I-care’s DNA.
How does predictive maintenance impact safety and beyond?
The story doesn’t end with awards. Predictive maintenance has a profound impact not only on safety but also on sustainability and performance.
“Thanks to predictive maintenance, we can plan more work orders and decrease failures. Fewer faults and fewer emergency repairs lead to fewer accidents on our customers’ side. (…) Our solutions help our customers achieve better product quality, less impact on the environment, better maintenance costs, but above all, better safety.”
Fabrice is clear about the impact of Predictive maintenance: it has a huge impact on safety, thanks to fewer unexpected breakdowns, but its benefits go much further. It fundamentally reshapes the way plants operate:
- Quality: More reliable performance ensures consistent output.
- Sustainability: Preventing failures lowers environmental impact.
- Efficiency: Planned interventions optimize costs and resources.
