Description
You know you need to learn more but don’t know where to start? Our CAT I course is specifically designed to help build a solid foundation for those new to this predictive maintenance tool—Infrared Thermography.
This 4-day seminar is intended for individuals with little or no experience in Infrared Thermography and prepares participants for the ISO Category I certification and the ISO CAT II course.
It introduces participants to how Infrared Thermography can be properly used to detect various issues generating IR emissions.
Infrared thermography theory is presented to give each student a solid understanding of the technology as it relates to the thermal condition of assets, along with practical demonstrations and classroom exercises designed to show proper data collection techniques.
The course concludes with an exam which, once successfully completed, certifies the participant as an ISO Category I Infrared Thermography Analyst.
Recommended audience
This course is recommended for Maintenance Technicians, Specialists in predictive maintenance techniques and Reliability Technicians

Prerequisites
Little or no previous Infrared Thermography experience will be required to take this class. However, no Infrared Thermography Analyst can truly be effective without some basic skills and previous experience in maintenance of the assets which will be included in a PdM program. In order to obtain certification as an Infrared Thermography Analyst ISO Category I, the participant shall, in accordance with the ISO 18436 standard, possess a minimum of 6 months of practical experience in the application of Infrared Thermography techniques. If the participant does not possess this experience at the time of the examination, a temporary certificate will be issued, with full certification being provided upon completion of the professional experience requirements.
